I have three cats, and I feel that the vet is taking advantage of this in order to get more money out of me.
They were trying to tell me that my cats needed a dental cleaning once a year. This ” professional cleaning” was going to run me around $ 700 per cat. My cats are young and do not have any plaque buildup. Plus, I get them treats that clean their teeth.
Do you think a sedation/dental cleaning once a year is a bit over the top?

Personally, I don’t even take my cats to the vet – it’s simply unreasonable to ask me to afford proper care to seven cats. Of course, they get their shots and get spayed and neutered, but if they’re not sick, they stay at home. I do grooming myself, and I think that is very over the top, considering I’m only paying $ 45 to get them spayed!
