My elderly kitty quickly slurps up the gravy or jelly from each can, then turns her nose up at the rest. Eventually she eats part of it, when she realizes I’m not going to open a new can for her every hour (this is a daily argument). She’s not the only elder cat I’ve had this situation with, and it seems like there should be a manufacturer somewhere who is taking advantage of the increase in elderly cats with dental, digestive, attitude and other disorders.

You can put it in the blender with a little bit of warm water, it will get rid of all the chunks and be really smooth. Vets sell this food called a/d or recovery formula and it is so smooth you can actually suck it up into a syringe.
