My 11 year-old cat has a very big inoperable brain tumor, and I want to know how much essiac tea I can give him. I read that it expands the tumor before it starts to shrink. Would it be dangerous to feed him? If so, do you know anything else I can give him? He also has heart and kidney conditions.
I consulted an oncologist, and was told chemo is too late and dangerous for him. Radiation was a problem too, because he has a grade IV heart murmur and might die with anesthesia. 3 vets I consulted had no idea about essiac tea… He was given only three months to live, but I want to do the best for him. I’m currently giving him aloe vera extract maitake extract, and fish oil in addition to the prednisolone that was prescribed. He’s holding up despite how big his tumor is.
Thank you for the kind answers. He passed away on May 18th around midnight. It was very peaceful like he went to sleep. As for those who are insinuating that I was putting him through pain, please be assured that I have lived with cats throughout my life and know when the time is right for euthanasia. I don’t need some lecture, especially when I’m going through grief right now. It hurts.
