I recently rescued a kitten and she’s in perfect health except when she sleeps. She gets all congested and snores a lot. You can see the boogers hardening over her nostrils and she takes gasping breaths through her mouth. We panicked a lot when it first happened and woke her up and she’s just a normal kitten when she’s awake. Menthol rub works for a little while but once she gets it all off her nose she gets congested again. We took her to the vet and he said there is nothing wrong with her because she’s fine when she’s awake. Besides finding a vet who does home calls and getting him/her over here when she’s sleeping I can’t think of anything else to do for her.

It could be that she isn’t used to the air conditioning or heating in your home. Is there somewhere more dry where she could sleep?
